FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens when I register in the program?
Selection for participation in our clinical trials is based upon product development needs. We run several clinical trials throughout the year, so you could be contacted multiple times for various studies or infrequently, depending on our needs. Your registration will remain active until you choose to opt out of the program.
Will I get chosen for a study if I register?
Registration for the program does not guarantee eligibility or participation in our studies. If your profile meets the requirements of an upcoming or ongoing study, we will contact you by email to schedule your visits. Study eligibility will be determined at the beginning of the first visit.
Am I Obligated to Participate?
Because your participation is voluntary, you are not obligated to participate in every study. When enrolled within a study, you may withdraw your participation for any reason. You may also opt-out of our research program at any time.
What are your hours for study visits?
Typically, study visits are conducted Monday through Friday during regular business hours. We do not offer weekends or evenings.
Can I get a copy of my prescription after my study visit?
JCRC does not provide routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, or non-study-related aftercare. The data obtained during your study visits are part of the study data and the property of JCRC, ICON plc, and the sponsor.
As a participant or registrant, it is your responsibility to continue to obtain your yearly eye health examination, including glasses and contact lens prescriptions as applicable, through the eye care professional of your choice. Any and all materials, contact lenses, solutions, etc., dispensed during the course of a study must be returned as dictated by the study protocol.
Is my information safe?
Any information that can identify you is private and confidential and never shared or sold. You will only be contacted by JCRC for study or business related purposes.
Do you accept referrals?
Yes! We welcome your friends and family to register.
I scheduled an appointment, now what happens?
During your initial study visit and before you agree to participate, a JCRC staff member will describe the details of the study and explain your responsibilities as a participant. Each study has a specific set of requirements that must be met in order for you to participate. If you agree to participate in the study and are enrolled we will confirm that you meet all the requirements of the study before proceeding further.
Do you provide transportation?
As participation is voluntary, participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from appointments.
Can I participate remotely?
Participants must be able to attend visits at our clinic.
What Benefits Will I Receive from Participation?
You may have the opportunity to experience new contact lens products or eye health technologies. Since benefits vary according to each study, call or email us for more details.
