FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens when I register for the program?
Selection for participation in our clinical studies is based on product development needs. We run several studies throughout the year, so you could be contacted multiple times for various studies – or infrequently – depending on our needs.
Will I be chosen for a study if I register?
Registration for the program does not guarantee eligibility or participation in our studies. If your profile meets the requirements of an upcoming or ongoing study, we’ll contact you by phone to confirm information and your interest. We’ll then schedule your first study visit if appropriate.
What are my obligations as a participant?
Because your participation is voluntary, you may withdraw from study participation at any time.
What are the hours for study visits?
Typically, study visits are conducted Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Is my information safe?
Any information that can identify you is private, confidential and never shared or sold. You’ll only be contacted by the Johns Creek Research Clinic for study-related purposes.
Can I get a copy of my prescription after my study visit?
No. Johns Creek Research Clinic does not provide routine eye exams, contact lens fittings or non-study-related aftercare. The information obtained during your study visits is part of the study data and the property of the Johns Creek Research Clinic, PRA Health Sciences and the study sponsor.
As a participant, it’s your responsibility to continue to obtain your yearly eye health examination, including glasses and contact lens prescriptions as applicable, through the eye care professional of your choice. Any materials, contact lenses, solutions, etc., dispensed during the course of a study must be returned to the Johns Creek Research Clinic.
Do you accept referrals?
Yes! We welcome your friends and family to register.
I scheduled an appointment – now what happens?
During your initial study visit and before you agree to participate, a Johns Creek Research Clinic staff member will describe the details of the study and explain your responsibilities as a participant. Each study has a specific set of requirements that must be met in order for you to participate. If you agree to participate in the study and are enrolled, we’ll confirm that you meet all the requirements of the study before moving ahead.
